Captain Carter - Marvel What If...?

I made this cosplay for Manchester Comic Con in 2022, based on the Marvel What If...? animation which reimagines the story of Captain America.

Costume

I adapted existing top and trouser patterns to make the basic costume, which I made from red, white and blue denim.

Armour

I created my own pattern for the armour, which I made from EVA foam and painted with acrylics. I also made the belt and harness from faux leather vinyl and plasticard.

Shield

I adapted a Captain America shield by sanding off the star on the front, repainting the shield and adding a vinyl Union Flag.
